Community Involvement

Taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to those around us includes showing Christian benevolence and concern for
many age groups and needs. We seek to contact people directly and to spend time with them as we explain
God’s plan of salvation from sin and His promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, His Son. Some of
our current opportunities for outreach include:
Weekly visits to two care centers in Montville and the Essex County long-term care facility include times
of worship, preaching, and personal interaction.
More than 150 children ages 4 to 12 have attended our annual summer VBS. Each year a theme is selected to
acquaint children with basic Bible truths including God’s actions to bring a Savior to this sinful world.
Members of the church regularly hold home Bible studies so they can invite neighbors and friends to hear
the gospel, or gather to pray for the needs of Christ’s kingdom. To see if there's a home Bible study near
you, please contact the church office.
The church also participates in special community events at which gospel literature can be distributed
to the general public.
